Memorial Hall
Reservation requests for Memorial Hall through August 2012 are currently being accepted. Requests for the 2012-2013 academic year (September 2012 - August 2013) will not be considered and must not be submitted until 8:00am on Monday, April 2, 2012. If you do not receive a return e-mail with a date stamp after 8:00am, you must resubmit your request. The average cost for an event by a University group in Memorial is $2,000-$3,500. Due to high demand, groups will be allowed only one Friday or Saturday use per semester. Rehearsals in general may only be accommodated on the same day as the event. All events must be booked at least thirty days in advance. Please use the reservation form to the right to submit requests.
Gerrard Hall
Reservation requests for Gerrard Hall through August 2012 are currently being accepted. Requests for the 2012-2013 academic year (September 2012 - August 2013) will not be considered and must not be submitted until 8:00am on Monday, April 2, 2012. If you do not receive a return e-mail with a date stamp after 8:00am, you must resubmit your request. The average cost for a University group to use Gerrard Hall is $200-$500. Due to high demand, weekend uses, rehearsals and non-performance events may be limited. All events must be booked at least thirty days in advance. Historic Playmakers Theatre
Reservation requests for Historic Playmakers Theatre through April 2012 are currently being accepted. Please note that as an unairconditioned building, Historic Playmakers Theatre is closed from May 1st through September 14th. Requests for the 2012-2013 academic year (September 2012 - August 2013) will not be considered and must not be submitted until 8:00am on Monday, April 2, 2012. If you do not receive a return e-mail with a date stamp after 8:00am, you must resubmit your request. The average cost for a University group to use Historic Playmakers Theatre is $500-$1,200. Please keep in mind that Historic Playmakers Theatre has limited accessibility for persons with disabilities. The backstage facilities are not accessible for persons in wheelchairs or with mobility issues. All events must be booked at least thirty days in advance. Non-University Organizations
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill organizations have first priority for the use of Memorial Hall, Gerrard Hall and Historic Playmakers Theatre. Non-University events must be compatible with the University's academic mission and the Chancellor's Facility Use Policy. Weddings and wedding receptions are not permissible in any of these venues. The average cost of a non-University event in Memorial Hall is $3,000-$5,500. The average cost of a non-University event in Gerrard Hall is $450-$1,000. The average cost of a non-University event in Historic Playmakers Theatre is $1,250-$2,250.
