STREB’s virtuosic, daredevil performers combine extreme sports with dance. With backgrounds in ballet, modern dance, martial arts, acrobatics and circus skills, they use experimental technologies such as “smart” prostheses, personal robots and a human-sized yo-yo to create a new vocabulary of performance.

This performance is a part of The Institute for the Arts and Humanities Collaborations: Humanities, Arts & Technology (CHAT) Festival.

STREB’s performances of Fall Line, Airlines, Surface and Look Up are made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts’ American Masterpieces: Dance initiative, administered by the New England Foundation for the Arts.

Elizabeth Streb is speaking in the Incubator Room in Hyde Hall on Thursday, Feb. 18th at 1:00 PM, discussing The Extreme Action Interface.  For more information about the lecture, please click here.

"...gasp-inducing, heart-pounding...terrifying and invigorating."
