Special Needs
Wheelchair seating is available for patrons whose needs require such. Please advise a Box Office Sales Associate of your needs when you purchase your tickets.

Disability parking is available in the Swain Lot on Cameron Avenue. Please display your disability permit. A golf cart will be available to shuttle you and your guests to Memorial Hall.

Memorial Hall is equipped with infrared listening systems provided free of charge for our hearing-impaired guests. We have a limited supply of headsets that should be reserved in advance through the Box Office.

Late Seating
Performances at Carolina Performing Arts are scheduled to begin promptly at the announced starting time. We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to the concert start time in order to park and find your seat before the concert begins.

If you are unexpectedly delayed, in deference to our artists and the comfort and listening pleasure of the audience in the hall, late seating will take place during the first appropriate pause in the program, at the discretion of management.

Reserved seats are not guaranteed after the performance starts. Latecomers may be seated in the back out of courtesy to the musicians and other patrons. Certain programs are performed without intermission or without a late seating break before intermission; therefore, no late seating can be offered at those concerts. For the convenience of latecomers, the performance in progress may be viewed and heard on monitors in the lobby.

Patrons who leave the hall before or during a work will not be reseated until after the completion of the work. In fairness to the performers and fellow concertgoers, we ask that you remain in your seat until the concert has concluded.

Electronic Devices
Use of cell phones, pagers and alarms of any kind is prohibited during performances. Please remember to turn these items off before the performance begins.

Photography, videography and recording devices of any kind are prohibited during performances.

Refreshments
Refreshments are available to be purchased in the lobby one hour prior to each performance and at intermission.

No outside food or beverage is allowed in Memorial hall and no food or beverage is allowed inside the Beasley-Curtis Auditorium.

Coat Check
Complimentary coat check is available seasonally and is located on the left side of the main lobby.

Smoking
Smoking is prohibited inside Memorial Hall and on the porch of the Hall. Smoking is permitted on the plaza area in front of the Hall.

Gentle Reminders

  • Turning off watch alarms, phones and pagers for the duration of the performance is very important. If you are concerned about missing an emergency call, you may leave your name, device and seat location with an usher and they will alert you if a call comes through.
  • Children old enough to enjoy performances are welcome. A ticket must be purchased for any child attending a performance regardless of age. Children must be seated where a parent or guardian can supervise them. Babes in arms are not permitted.
  • Please wait to discuss the performance until intermission or after the performance ends. Even whispers carry!
  • Please refrain from unwrapping cough drops or candy in the auditorium during the performance as it is a distraction for others.
  • Please be modest with your use of fragrances when attending performances so that those with allergies can also enjoy the performance.
  • If you have a complaint about another patron, please alert an usher or the Audience Services Manager rather than approaching the patron yourself. We will be happy to address concerns on your behalf.
