The Lighting Department Head for Carolina Performing Arts (CPA) reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for coordinating and managing lighting operations for events in Memorial Hall, CURRENT ArtSpace + Studio, Gerrard Hall, Historic Playmakers Theater, and Moeser Auditorium. This position leads the lighting department, trains and supervises CPA student staff, supervises set-up and operation of lighting systems, and maintains lighting equipment. The Lighting Department Head may also serve as the programmer for many CPA performances as well as for events hosted by student groups, campus departments, and community groups in our venues. Prior experience working with and leading staff/crews with varied levels of technical knowledge is strongly preferred.
