Classroom Collaborations

Carolina Performing Arts Engagement frequently works with faculty to create and facilitate performance-inspired class discussions, group projects, and written assignments that enhance and complicate individual course content. We consult with professors to collaboratively design interdisciplinary lessons and units on social, cultural, historical, and aesthetic questions and themes. To learn more contact Carolina Performing Arts Associate Director of Engagement, Dr. Amanda Graham.

Requests for Other Activities

Additional Engagement Opportunities include:

  • – Dance and music masterclasses
  • – Pre- and Post-performance meet-and-greets with classes
  • – Pre- and Post-performance moderated discussions

Our ability to schedule such additional activities depends on the performers’ time and willingness to schedule extra activities on campus. If you are interested in pursuing an engagement event with your class, please contact Artistic Coordinator Riva Mains as soon as possible with your request.  Please note that, in order to create a meaningful event for both artists and students, any additional activities must be REQUIRED, not optional, for students.
