In 2012, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation awarded a five-year, $800,000 grant to Carolina Performing Arts for the creation and support of Arts@TheCore programs. These programs include lectures, seminars, faculty workshops, and curricular connections that serve to place the performing arts at the core of the 21st century university education at UNC.
Arts@TheCore facilitates an increased student presence at performances and provides opportunities for students to engage with artists and the performing arts as part of their coursework.
