Taxes and Fees

Find helpful information on NC state taxes and ticketing fees.

North Carolina State law requires a tax of 7.5% on the entire order of any good or services provided. Taxes are non-refundable and cannot be put towards a Carolina Performing Arts credit. All revenue generated from tax is remitted to the state of North Carolina.

All orders placed via CPA’s website or over the phone through the Ticket Services will incur a per-order convenience fee of $4 and a per-ticket processing fee of $2.

The convenience fee is waived for patrons purchasing tickets in person at the Memorial Hall Box Office. The $2 per ticket processing fee does not apply to UNC Students. Fees are non-refundable and cannot be put towards a Carolina Performing Arts credit.

The revenue collected from these standard fees supports the operation of our venues and student staffing for performances, free community and engagement events, and other needs, as we bring nearly 30,000 patrons through our doors each year. We are deeply grateful for your support.
